I’ve just installed this plugin on my site, but it looks like it’s pulling pages from my staging site. Is there any way to disable staging searches?

    Hi Joseph,

I hope you are well today and thank you for your question.

You can configure in the plugin settings which post types to search as shown in the attached screenshot.

    Best regards,

    Hello Vinod,

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the answer I was looking for. I have a staging site with WP Engine and there are “test pages” from the staging site that somehow are being displayed in the search results. I already talked to WP Engine about this and they told me that the test pages don’t exist on my current active site. This means that your plugin is somehow pulling pages from my staging site.

The plugin settings as described above allows you to configure search results so you can configure it to allow or disallow searching pages.

The plugin only searches the content on the site where it is installed and doesn’t search or pull content from any other site.

You can confirm it yourself by temporary deactivating the plugin and then search on your site.

Hm, what do you think is the problem then? I can’t seem to figure this out.

The search is still pulling the two “test” pages from my staging site.

This cane be a problem of the theme or any other plugins you are using on your site which you can confirm by temporary deactivating them one by one.
