    Hello.

    Could you give me some help to:

    – Lift up the search field to be in line with the rest of my menu.
    – Fix misalignment with icon and button
    – Simplify button to be just the magnifying glass icon
    – Change placeholder text to “Search”

    my site: leowestonvfx.uk

    Thanks

    Leo

    Hi Leo,

    I hope you are well today and thank you for your questions.

    To achieve this us the following custom CSS code on your site as described on this page http://freewptp.com/how-to-use-custom-css-in-wordpress-site/

    li.search-menu a {
        padding: 0;
    }

    button.icon-search {
        display: none;
    }

    To change placeholder text try using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/say-what/

    Best regards,
    Vinod Dalvi

      I can’t locate the string to change with Say What

      Is there another way?

    Hi. I figured it out. Thanks. Didn’t realise that the string was coming from the theme’s search.php
