    Hi,

    Currently using this theme for a new website. In the overall theme settings, we have the default layout set to be wide layout with left sidebar however, if we go to some pages, the left sidebar is not there even though the page is set to use the default layout

    Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?
    Cheers,
    J

    Hi J,

    Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

    Please make sure the correct layout is set in the individual page layout settings in edit page screen.

    If you are still facing the issue then could you please share me the page URL from your site where it is not displaying correctly so that i can troubleshoot it?

    Best regards,
    Vinod Dalvi

    Hi Vinold,

    Thanks for the response.

    I’ve checked and the page template is set as default layout set in theme settings, then in theme settings it is set to be with a left sidebar.

    Here are some examples of pages all using that default layout however, displaying differently

    http://overdale.n-yorks.sch.uk/curriculum/british-values/
    http://overdale.n-yorks.sch.uk/curriculum/

    Cheers,
    J

    I can see the left sidebar is displaying on your shared page http://overdale.n-yorks.sch.uk/curriculum/british-values/ but not on http://overdale.n-yorks.sch.uk/curriculum/

    Could you please compare the layout settings of both pages and see whether there is any difference?

    Also have you made any custom changes in the theme files?

    Hi Vinod,

    No changes have been made on the template. It is a clean install.

    Both pages appear identical in settings

    Cheers,
    J

    I will fix it in next week. If you also share me your other site details then i can fix it now or just find the function ruby_get_sidebar() in the functions.php file of theme and change the code in it as following.

    Before :

    if ( empty( $layout ) ) {

    After :

    if ( empty( $layout )  || 'default' == $layout ) {
