    I’ve downloaded the “add search to menu” plugin and try every possible customization in the settings (different style, different menu…), but it does not make any difference. The search bar simply doesn’t show at all. Is there anything I’m doing wrong?

    I use the Blog Way theme.

    Thanks!

    Hi Ondrejhrdy,

    Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

    If you are using any cache on your site then please make sure to cleat it.

    Also could you please share me your site URL where it’s happening so that i can troubleshoot it?

    Best regards,
    Vinod Dalvi

      I’ve deleted cache via “WP Super Cache” and there’s no difference.

      Here’s the link to my website: mindfulfil.com

      You can find a screenshot of my settings in the attachments.

    Could you please make sure you have set Primary menu in your Menus screen and share me the screenshot of it?

    Yes you can see you have not created menu and selected in Primary menu drop down.

    You can get more information about WordPress menu on the following page.

    Ok, I solved but it looks weird. Is there any way I can change how the magnifying icon looks?

    I want to change the color and also move it a little bit down. It looks weird next to the text.

    To achieve this please use the following custom CSS code on your site as described on this page http://freewptp.com/how-to-use-custom-css-in-wordpress-site/

    .search-menu svg.search-icon path {
        fill: #FFF;
    }

    #masthead li.search-menu a {
        line-height: 15px;
        margin-top: 14px;
    }

    It looks ok until I click on it. Check out the attachment. How can I move the bar a little bit down?

    Use below custom CSS code to move it down.

    li.search-menu.dropdown form {
        right: -10px;
        top: 134%;
    }

    Damn, it looks great! Last question, how to make the magnifying glass change color on hover?

    You can change its color on hover using below custom CSS code.

    li.search-menu a:hover svg.search-icon path {
        fill: #337ab7;
    }
