    Hi there – the background of the magnifying glass on my site header was [a perfect] transparent, now it is an awful white square. Can you explain why please – I have done nothing to it, logged out of my site yesterday and it was fine, logged in today and it is a random square behind the icon – and advise how to get rid of the white square and back to transparent. Thanks, Kylie

    Hi Kylie,

    Sorry to hear of the problem you are having.

    You can try resolving the issue by adding following CSS code in the Custom CSS option of Add Search To Menu plugin.

    body .astm-search-menu a svg {
        background: transparent !important;
    }

    If the issue still doesn’t resolve for you then could you please share me your site URL where it’s happening so that i can troubleshoot it?

    Best regards,
    Vinod Dalvi

    Hi Vinod – yes that appears to have worked – strange that it randomly decided to NOT display as that, when it has done so perfectly since I installed the plugin! But all good now, thanks, Kylie

    A quick follow up question re the icon – I’ve changed the colour, using CSS info from another poster’s query and your reply – on that note – is there any way to make the icon larger and / or to make the fill ‘bold’? Thanks, Kylie

    You can resize the magnifier icon by using following custom CSS code.

    svg.search-icon {
        width: 15px;
        height: 15px;
    }

    Please change the size value 15px in the above code to whatever you want to set.
